14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
When we study the book of John, we learn that "the Word" is another name for Jesus. He left the heavens to walk among us, to fully experience what life as a human is like. Being a part of the Trinity, He knew what it was like, but in order to have men trust in Him, He came to earth to experience what we experience. In doing so, it becomes easier, for some to trust in Him.
