Geocaching

geocaching ~ a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online.

We went geocaching today, for the first time.  Thought it would be a bit easier than it was, after all we were using the GPS on our IPhones ~ isn't that suppose to be accurate?  Hope to find more that are close so that we don't have to drive to find some.

We didn't take anything this time, as we didn't have anything to leave.  We'll know what to have for the next time.

Afterward, we continued our walk.  It lead into asking Thing Two if he felt like a giant or if he were jolly (he was in green sweatpants and a green hoodie).  We'll have to find a commercial on you tube to show him.

Just because we mentioned all in green, we needed an all in blue:

Our hike ended shortly there after, other commitments were calling.

That would be me at my blog!  Nothing to write about, pictures taken though.  Even still have a February header picture.  Maybe I'll work on that today.

Thankful!

If you are a crafter, have you ever made something for someone and wondered if they really like the gift?  I've had that happen, often actually!  With our boys, there is obvious thankfulness, in that I see them enjoying the gift.

Just over two years ago, I completed this blanket for Kevin's co-worker's daughter.  I wondered if they liked it or if there daughter ever used the blanket.  Anyhoot, Kevin forwarded this photo to me this morning:

So, I suppose she does like the blanket and that "feels" good!

A picture of your favorite memory

My Mom's parents house in Crandon, Wisconsin.  Lots of fun memories there.  Couple things, as a result of visiting here.  First, I really like the craftsman style house.  Second, the bay window you see was a part of the dining room.  It was full of colored glass.  I hope to recreate that some day in my own house.

Day 02 A picture of you and the person you have been closest with the longest

That person would be Michelle!  We've known each other since Middle School.  Couldn't think of one good photo to sum it all up, so a picture with several will have to do.  There are photo's from early 80's, photo from college, and from our weddings.  Although we don't talk as often now, we still manage to keep up and always pick up where we left off!

As an aside ~ thought it was kind of funny that Kevin knew this photo was for day 2 and didn't question why a picture of pictures!
